
Ursin Mirer invited the Zurich writer Thomas Meyer to the Giesserei a newsletter concept was desired, he let him know while they were having dinner in the historic rooms.
"Newsletters are boring," said Meyer. Mirer looked at him: What was he doing? However... he was somehow right. "How about nice cards with stories about the Giesserei ? So much has happened here." Thomas Meyer was born in Zurich in 1974 and spent his childhood in Mellingen, Aargau, and Wädenswil, Zurich. After dropping out of law school, he began working as an advertising copywriter. His debut novel, "Wolkenbruch's Wondrous Journey into the Arms of a Shikse," was published in 2012. It was nominated for the Swiss Book Prize and remained on the Swiss bestseller list for almost a year. His second novel, "Account of My Ducats," was published in 2014.
